Eco farms of the Carpathians

Carpathian eco farms are small holdings that open their gates to visitors: snail and buffalo farms, goat farms, berry plantations, pastures with sheep and horses. You can see how the animals are cared for, where milk and cheese come from and how food is grown slowly and without chemicals.

A farm visit is a great idea for a trip with children: kids feed the animals while adults taste and buy fresh produce straight from the farmers. Many farms combine the tour with a workshop or a small tasting.

Tip: a farm is a working business, so arrange your visit in advance. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty and don’t feed the animals without the hosts’ permission.
