Piwnice Antoniego in Wola Lubecka: wine, honey and tastings

Wola Lubecka 15, 33-162 Lubcza, Poland

Piwnice Antoniego ("Antoni's Cellars") is a family winery and apiary in the village of Wola Lubecka in the Ryglice commune, where the Sandomierz Basin meets the first hills of the Ciężkowice Foothills (Pogórze Ciężkowickie). It all began in the 1980s, when Antoni Marcinek planted a few dozen table-grape vines and learned winemaking as an amateur. Since 2005, after joining the Małopolska Wine Forum, the family has gradually enlarged the vineyard, which now covers more than 50 ares. There is also the family's own apiary, a berry plantation and an old orchard.

For wine they grow Seyval Blanc, Solaris, Johanniter, Muscat Ottonel, Aurora, Bianca and the Polish Jutrzenka, and among reds Cabernet Cortis, Cascade, Monarch, Regent, Rondo and Léon Millot; about two hundred further vines are table varieties. The wines win medals every year: in 2025 — gold and silver at the national Winobranie wine competition in Zielona Góra, silver at ENOEXPO in Kraków, at the international Carpatia Vini contest in Kombornia and at TuchoViniContest, and bronze at the Polish Wine Competition in Jasło; earlier the red Monarcha won the champion title at the Polish Wine Competition in Poznań.

Why go

  • A guided tasting. For organised groups the owners show the vineyard and pour five wines with regional snacks, talking about each one.
  • Wine and honey from one farm. Honey from the family apiary goes into meads and into the house wines Danutie and Vermell.
  • A walk up Kokocz. The winery lies at the foot of Kokocz hill (434 m), linked to a legend of a Vistulan stronghold. In a quarter of an hour you can climb to the top and see Pilzno and, on clear days, Mielec and Tarnów. To the south runs the wooded Brzanka range up to Liwocz (562 m), with hiking trails and a lookout tower.

What to taste and buy

The wines carry their own names: the whites Brzask and Bianite, the rosé Różana Kaskada, the reds Nestor and Monarcha, plus Idylla, Sollares, Julita, Perła Kokocza and Wenus. If you want the latest award-winners, ask for Idylla 2023 — gold at Winobranie 2025, Sollares 2023 — first place in the Poznaj Trybuszony contest 2025, and Julita 2024, which won silver that year both in Kraków and in Kombornia. You can buy on site or order by post — shipping is free for six bottles. Ask about the honey and meads too.
