Bee hives, Staryi Kosiv

In recent years, apitherapy, or treatment with bees, has become increasingly popular. You can join such a useful alternative to the usual vacation in the village of Staryi Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region, where there are special apitherapy houses.

These are special buildings with beds arranged over real beehives. But don't worry, it's absolutely safe, as bees cannot fly inside the miracle house. The smells and humming of the insects come through small holes in the hive, covered with a net.

People have long considered the bee to be a God's insect and valued the useful products it creates. However, recent studies have shown the benefits of sleeping next to bees. The therapeutic effect is created by the uniform buzzing of bees, which resembles the sound of the sea and has a positive effect on the nervous system, blood pressure, and relieves stress. The constant heat of about 35 degrees, vibrations coming from the bee family, as well as the aromas of honey, flower pollen, bee venom and propolis improve health.

This type of recreation was founded in Staryi Kosiv by Maria Karpiuk, who has seen the effectiveness of bee treatment on her own experience and invites you to visit the Bee Wonder Huts. Her apiary has two wooden miracle houses that were opened in 2013-2014. They can accommodate three people each.

When you go to the apiary, try not to drink alcohol or wear harsh perfumes. The owners of the miracle huts also ask you to turn off your phones and other gadgets, as radiation can disrupt the natural energy of bees.

If you need a longer course of treatment, you can buy other bee products, as well as order meals and accommodation in the estate near the apiary. The picturesque nature around Staryi Kosiv, the richness of berries and mushrooms, enhances the healing effect.

Opening hours: 08:00-20:00 from April to October. It is best to arrange an apitherapy session and a tour of the apiary in advance.

Prices for visiting the miracle hut start from 30 UAH, depending on the duration of the session.

The miracle apiary in Staryi Kosiv is located in the very center of the village, not far from the restaurant of the same name, Staryi Kosiv. It is only 3 km from the district center of Kosiv, if you drive in the direction of the village of Verbovets. You can get there by bus from Kolomyia and Kosiv, as well as by your own transport or by taxi.
