The Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious enjoys special love and respect in Lviv. He is considered the patron saint of the city, and there are three churches of St. George in Lviv. The most famous of these is St. George's Cathedral, which is currently under the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

The new St. George's Church of the UOC-KP was built near the railway station. The small super modern church near the station was built under the patronage of Heorhiy Kyrpa, who had long been the head of the Lviv Railway. The construction of the church began in 1990 with the creation of the Orthodox community, which initiated the construction of the church.

The church has something so bright and sincere about it. The modern transparent arched ceiling does not stand out from the overall architectural ensemble. On the contrary, it is logical and appropriate.

And the stained-glass image of St. George the Victorious leaves no doubt who the patron saint of this church is.

The clean, uncluttered square in front of the church creates a feeling of spaciousness and sincere refined simplicity.
