Sosnovsky Palace
It is an unusual house that resembles the castle of the liberators of the Holy Sepulcher in Palestine. The house was designed by architect Józef Sosnowski, with the assistance of the famous Lviv architect Ivan Levynskyi.
In 1900-1901, house number 50 was built, with its facade completely facing Generala Chuprynky street. In 1907 the second building with a corner tower and a side facade was built. The house was built in the pseudo-Gothic style. A large corner balcony-loggia is interesting; the balcony is outstanding, but needs restoration. The small metal balconies on the tower seem to have played a purely decorative role, as it is impossible to get out onto them. There is a small garden behind the fence in front of the entrance. A chapel with a terrace has been preserved in the corner wing of the building. Faded painted arcades, wrought-iron flower beds depicting a strange coat of arms. Now it is a residential building divided into several apartments. It has two separate exits and looks very colorful. I'm glad to see that they have started to put it in order.
