Museum of the Maliavsky family

Today, the name of the artist Hennadii Maliavskyi, a former graduate of the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, is associated primarily with such masters of the brush whose work was dominated by landscape themes. Who hasn't heard the common truth - a person should be closer to nature, it purifies his soul, makes him kind, honest and spiritually rich.

Hennadii Maliavskyi's landscapes are dominated by a lively, trembling sense of nature, a love for the beauty of Hutsul nature and the beauty of mountains, rivers, forests, and waterfalls. The penetrating observation contributed to the improvement of the coloristic richness of the palette, true virtuosity in the watercolor technique. There are works in oil, tempera, and graphics. Architecture is represented ethnographically. Anastasiia Mykolaivska (Hennadii Kindratovych's wife) has a generous collection of old traditional patterns. She continues and develops the glorious traditions of folk embroidery of her native land. Anastasiia has persistently mastered rich stylistic components, characteristic ornaments and creates compositions with a unique range of colors and extraordinary purity of execution.

The Kosiv Children's Art School hosted the exhibition. There are four halls there. The first hall is an exhibition of paintings by Ukrainian cultural figures Ivan Franko, Taras Shevchenko, and Lesia Ukraina. The second hall is dedicated to the founding of the Hutsul Art Union by prominent people. The third hall is dedicated to architecture: architectural and spiritual monuments of ancient times. The fourth hall is different.
