At the beginning of August 2011, Mykola Savchuk's "Vesela Oselya " opened its doors in Kolomyia. It is the first and currently the only humor center in Ukraine created by the famous humor writer, Honored Artist of Ukraine, and humor expert Mykola Savchuk. A great deal of credit for the humorous design of the center belongs to the Kolomyia cartoonist Igor Bezhuk. The Humor Center contains not only exhibits, but also a large library, movie screenings, funny exhibitions, and various contests.

The museum was opened in 2011 on August 11. Since then, visitors to this cheerful place have not left the museum in a bad mood. The interior was designed by Kolomyia artist Myroslav Yasinsky. Most of the illustrations were made by cartoonist Ihor Bezhuk. Until 2014, the museum was located at 12 Shevchenko Street. In 2015, it moved to a new address at 79B Hetman Ivan Mazepa Street.

The Humor Center "Vesela Oselya" aims to study and popularize laughing culture (humor, satire, caricature, clowning, comedy, etc.). The initiator of this cultural project plans to organize forums and seminars for humorists and caricaturists, summer schools for young humorists, exhibitions, chamber comedy festivals, and other interesting events. The center will also publish reference books on the laughing culture of the world's peoples, albums of caricatures, comic postcards, etc.

The Humor Center "Vesela Oselya" consists of:

a permanent exposition like a small museum;
a library
audio and video libraries;
archive and fund.

The permanent exhibition covers a wide range of Ukrainian and partly world humor, satire, comedy and caricatures: books and periodicals, photographs, postcards, souvenirs, plaques, badges, sculptures. The organizer and owner of the "Merry House" used his own slogans and aphorisms, ideas and stanzas. The Green Box contains caricatures by Ukrainian caricaturists of famous world political figures, as well as a philo-cartoon collection from different countries.

The " Merry House" has a laughter mirror, as well as audiovisual equipment (TV, music center), which will allow you to see samples of world comedy films, listen to unique recordings of Ukrainian comedians, comic songs and Galician hits.
