An information table is installed at the entrance to the church grounds: "Holy Exaltation Church. The existence of a Christian church in the village of Verkhni Synivtsi was first mentioned in a document of 1490. The modern church was built in 1786-1790 at the expense of a local landowner, Baron Ilsky. The building is a three-story wooden structure. The original carved three-tiered iconostasis of the XVIII century has been preserved. A rectangular wooden bell tower stands to the west of the church. This church is a pearl of eighteenth-century wooden architecture in Bukovyna. Today, the church, which was built without the use of metal elements, is not operational. It is an architectural monument of national importance.

It is located in the Hlyboka district, on the southeastern outskirts of the village, on the road to Nyzhni Synivtsi, next to a new brick church. The wooden church is small in size, its nave is slightly wider than the pews and the altar, which is faceted in plan. The outer walls of the church are lined with vertically planked boards and platbands. The profiled brackets on which the edge of the roof rests are striking. The windows are small, and the entrance to the church is traditionally from the south in the narthex. The bell tower is one-tiered.
