Yoga, parkour and rock climbing. SportFest IF will be held in Frankivsk this weekend

This weekend, Frankivsk, on the German Lake, will host a grand sports festival, SportFest IF, where everyone will be able to try their hand at a variety of sports.

The program includes both traditional and rather unusual sports, which the organizers want to introduce to the residents of Frankivsk. Participation in all events of the festival is free of charge, Teple Misto reports.

In general, SportFest IF events will include various types of fitness, yoga, martial arts, running, parkour, table and padel tennis, BMX, disc golf, rock climbing, altimat, football, beach volleyball, paintball, baseball, airsoft, rugby, and others. The organizers also said that you can come with your dogs, as the festival will host Dog Puller competitions for the first time in Western Ukraine.

The highlight of SportFest IF will be a separate location of Z-Games, the largest sports and music festival in Eastern Europe. Its representatives will hold master classes in skimboarding (riding a board in shallow water), balanceboarding (balancing on a board), slackline (walking on a stretched rope) and sapboarding (standing up paddleboarding).

Another area of the sports festival is the lecture hall, which will feature lectures by famous athletes and sports enthusiasts, including vice-champion and world record holder in freediving Alexander Bubenchikov, an outstanding dancer, Serhiy Podbolotnyi, founder of the Argentine Tango School in China, Serhiy Fitsak, director of the Softjourn IT company, Ivan Faychak, veteran runner, Olga Holovnya, yoga therapist, Irina Vysotskaya, race car driver, Roman Gavrilenko, fitness trainer, and many others.

The festival will also feature a children's area, a place for tasty and healthy food, and a recreation area.

"We want to unleash the potential of the area around the German Lake," says Ihor Krytsak, festival organizer and coordinator of the Hot Sport program from the Teple Misto platform. "Thanks to the sports festival, we will be able to show the people of Frankivsk how to use this recreational area, which is not very popular at the moment."
