The true beauty and grandeur of the planet Earth in the movie "Home: A Journey"

23

The incredibly spectacular film by the legendary Jan Arthus-Bertrand shows the viewer the true beauty and majesty of planet Earth. The boundless Okavango River and the mighty Kilimanjaro volcano, the untouched landscapes of Iceland and the icy expanses of Antarctica - the whole boundless palette of colors of the living world from a bird's eye view. This is our common home, which is as beautiful as it is vulnerable to the destructive activities of humans.

The disastrous consequences of industrial occupation, man-made disasters and military actions are causing inexorable damage to the planet, revealing the real situation to the viewer. The entire film was shot from a helicopter.

In 18 months, the film crew visited 53 countries. However, in some countries, such as China and Saudi Arabia, the director was denied permission to conduct aerial filming. In India, half of the footage was confiscated, and in Argentina, Artus-Bertrand and his assistants had to spend a week in prison. The film was preceded by 15 years of work, during which 500 thousand photographs were taken.
