The wooden church was built in 1858 (according to other sources in 1845) near the road to the village of Klymets, on a low ridge. Until 1939, its patrons were well-known industrialists and philanthropists, the Gradley brothers from Skole.
On a large metal cross in front of the church there is a table with a brief history of the shrine in the 2nd half of the twentieth century: "8.IX.1961 - the church ceased to be active. 19.I.1988 - the first Epiphany of the consecration of water on the river. 10.IV.1988 - the first consecration of the Easter cake. 29.V.1988 - opening of the church and the first service. XI.20.1988 - the ordination of a priest, Oleksiy Yuriyovych. 27.XI.1988 - arrival of the Bishop in honor of the 1000th anniversary."
Nearby is another memorial tablet: "On the anniversary of the founding of the reading room of the Brotherhood of the Blessed Sacrament and the introduction of universal sobriety on the day of St. Nicholas in 1895, this monument was erected in gratitude to God: God by the members of these societies."
The church is located one kilometer south of the center of Tukholka. It is a three-story log building with its foundations resting on a stone foundation. The altar is oriented to the northeast.
A vestry is attached to the altar from the west, covered with a three-pitched roof with a lantern with a top on the crest. On the second tier of the narthex there is an emporium (chapel above the narthex), which is surrounded by an arcade gallery.
An external wooden staircase leads to it, and the entrance to the emporium is protected by a massive metal door. Since the emporium overhangs the chancel, a small, equally wide porch was made under the roof that encircles the shrine. The walls under the emporium consist of exposed log beams, while the walls above the emporium and the narthex are vertically planked.
The nave is completed by a four-parted nave with a single bend, on which an octagon, also with a single bend, is covered by an elongated dome with a lantern and a cupola. The altar part under the dome is square in plan, and above the dome it is five-sided with an octagon with two folds, covered with a low octagonal tent with a lantern and a dome.
On the three-pitched roof above the emporium, a light octagon with two folds was arranged, completed as an altar.
On the axis of the church, to the south of it, there is a wooden square two-tiered bell tower built in 1862 (inscription on the entrance door's pillar), covered with an eight-sided tent roof crowned with a lantern with a top.
