Home Museum of Women's Jewelry, Kosiv
In small Kosovo, with a population of just over 9,000 people, there are more than a dozen museums related to ethnography, folk traditions, crafts and art. One of these attractions is the House Museum of Women's Jewelry in Kosovo (11 Stefuraka Street).
The collection was assembled over 32 years, and the reason for putting together this collection was the desire to preserve beautiful things created by talented craftsmen. It consists of the following sections: jewelry made of patsyorky (beads); leather; wood; metal. The exhibits are made with amazingly careful craftsmanship. The beaded jewelry is especially rich - in the local dialect, "patsyorky" and "gardany" - and is worth admiring by everyone.
Opening hours: seven days a week.
You can find the home museum of women's jewelry with tips from the locals, and get there by public transport or even on foot. There is a direct bus from Kyiv to the city. Or you can take a train to Ivano-Frankivsk or Yaremche, and from there take a local minibus.
