OnAugust 6, 2010, the project was approved, and on July 15, 2011, the Lviv City Council Committee approved the requirements for the monument.

Details.
The height of the monument is 3.5 meters. The songwriter is dressed in a shirt and pants. It is made of bronze and the pedestal is made of granite.
The sculptor is Serhiy Oleshko The monument was financed by Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, who also paid for the construction of the monument (the cost is 360 thousand UAH).

Unveiling.
OnDecember 20, 2011, the monument was unveiled. The ceremony was attended by musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and Ivasyuk's relatives. Before removing the sheet, Vakarchuk made a welcoming speech, and the mayor of the city also spoke. The monument was blessed and candles and flowers were laid. At the opening, people sang "Chervona Ruta" together.
