Cieszyn County is an administrative district in the southern part of Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, bordering the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its administrative seat is the town of Cieszyn. The county was established on January 1, 1999, as part of Poland's local government reforms, and the area has a long history linked to the former Duchy of Cieszyn and the division of Silesia after World War I.
The region includes part of the Silesian Beskids and the Jablunkov Intermontane. Rivers such as the Vistula, Black and White Wisełka, Brennica, and Jaszowiec flow through the area. The south features mountainous and upland terrain, while the north is more flat. Cieszyn County is known for its natural resorts, scenic mountains, and the rich cultural heritage of its inhabitants.
