Karpaty.rocks is an information travel website about the Ukrainian Carpathians: trails, peaks, sights, weather, springs and mountain huts, plus a directory of accommodation and other services. By using the website you agree to these terms.

1. What the website is: we sell nothing

Karpaty.rocks is a platform that provides businesses with space to publish information about their properties, goods and services — nothing more. We do not sell accommodation, tours, tickets, equipment or any other goods or services, and we are not a tour operator, travel agent, seller or party to any contract between you and a property, its owner or an advertiser.

The website hosts:

  • accommodation listings (hotels, guest houses, cottages, etc.) added by owners or partners;
  • advertising and partner content (articles, banners, equipment ads);
  • goods of partner online shops — orders go directly to the shops;
  • reference information about trails, peaks, sights, weather, springs and huts.

2. Accommodation and booking

Names, descriptions, photos, prices, terms and availability are provided by property owners and partners. We review listings before publication but cannot guarantee that they are complete or up to date: prices and terms may change.

  • The accommodation contract is made directly between the guest and the owner (or the booking service used). Payment, prepayment, cancellation and refund terms are set by the owner or the booking service.
  • Karpaty.rocks does not accept payments for accommodation and is not responsible for the quality of services or for the owner's actions or omissions.
  • Some listings show an online booking form of the Hotels24 service: the request goes to that service, and its booking terms are set by the service and the property.
  • You can get advice on the listed properties at +38 (073) 757-83-03. Booking, the contract and payment are directly between you and the property or booking service; the website administration is not a party to them.

Before making a prepayment, check the terms directly with the owner.

3. Goods and equipment from online shops

The website may show goods (including outdoor equipment) of partner online shops. Karpaty.rocks only displays information about these goods — the seller is the online shop.

  • Orders and requests go directly to the online shop; the sales contract is made between the buyer and the shop.
  • Prices, availability, specifications, payment, delivery, warranty, exchange and return terms are set by the shop. The information on our website may differ from the current information on the shop's website — check it with the seller before buying.
  • Karpaty.rocks does not accept payments for goods, does not deliver them and is not responsible for the quality of goods or the seller's actions. Send complaints about goods or orders to the shop; buyers' rights are protected by consumer protection law.
  • Goods of partner shops are advertising and are marked as such.

4. Advertising and partner content

Some content on the website is advertising: sponsored articles, banners, highlighted ("recommended") listings, equipment ads. Such content is marked as advertising or partner content. The advertiser is responsible for the advertisement and for the quality and safety of the advertised goods and services. Advertising does not mean that we recommend or guarantee a product or service.

5. Trails, peaks, weather and mountain safety

Trail descriptions, tracks, maps, altitudes, walking times, weather forecasts and the condition of springs and huts are for reference only. Conditions in the mountains change quickly: paths can be damaged, springs can dry up, huts can be closed.

  • You assess your own abilities, the weather and the risks, and you are responsible for your own safety on a hike.
  • Check the current forecast before setting out and tell the rescue service and your family about your route.
  • In an emergency call 101 or 112 — free from any phone.

6. AI guide

Answers of the online assistant (AI guide) are generated automatically from the website's data and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important information — prices, availability, trail conditions, transport timetables — yourself.

7. User content

Reviews, comments, photos and reports on springs and huts are published by users, who are responsible for their content. We may moderate, edit or remove content that breaks the law or the rights of others, or contains advertising, spam or false information. By sending photos you confirm that you have the right to use them and allow us to show them on the website.

8. Copyright and reproduction

Texts, photos, maps and other materials of the website are protected by copyright. Reproduction of the information is allowed only with the permission of the website administration. When quoting, an active link to Karpaty.rocks is required.

9. Limitation of liability

The website is provided "as is". The website administration is not liable for any loss related to the use of the website's information, to services of owners, booking services or advertisers, or to the content of third-party websites linked from here.

10. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in the Confidentiality agreement. Property owners are also subject to the Cooperation terms.
