Museum of Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky

It was opened on August 24, 2004 in the village of Ruda. The museum is a branch of the Lviv Art Gallery. The museum presents works of domestic and foreign artists of the 17th-20th centuries. Visitors will be interested in a painting by an unknown artist depicting I. Vyhovskyi's wife Olena Stetkevych. Also among the exhibits is the icon of the Ascension. The icon was restored in 2004 by the staff of the Lviv Art Gallery. The museum displays exhibits of material culture found on the territory of the former Hetman's castle.

The museum is the first museum of Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky in Ukraine. The museum presents exhibits from the period of the struggle for freedom and statehood since the emergence of the Cossacks. In the 1960s, the famous Ukrainian art historian Borys Voznytskyi began to study Ivan Vyhovsky 's activities in the Lviv region. Among the finds was an altar of beautiful carvings over 4 meters high, dating from the 1920s.

In 1999, an exhibition about Ivan Vyhovsky was opened in Lviv, which led to the idea of creating a museum. In 2006 , the museum hosted a scientific conference dedicated to the 400th anniversary of Ivan Vyhovsky's birth. 1606 is a hypothetical date of birth, no one knows the real date, some researchers suggest that the hetman was born in 1607 .

2012 - celebrations were held to mark the 335th anniversary, during which Cossack games were held. In 2009, a monument to the hetman was erected in the village.
