Monument to the Tree of Happiness, Ivano-Frankivsk
The Tree of Happiness mon ument was presented to Ivano-Frankivsk by the participants of the 2008 Blacksmiths' Festival, which is held annually on the occasion of the City Day. It was installed in one of the flowerbeds where maple saplings had not taken root for many years.
The joint efforts of the participants of the fourth Blacksmiths' Festival created a three-meter-high monument, the Tree of Happiness. The branches of the tree are decorated with many forged elements, including:
- an image of Adam and Eve with an apple;
- a children's favorite hanging swing;
- a human orchestra;
- a firebird;
- amazing flowers and much more.
Over the period of its existence, the Tree of Happiness has become a legend. It is believed that riding on the swing and making a wish will definitely come true. And newlyweds are sure that a horseshoe hung on the tree strengthens their marriage.
The Tree of Happiness monument in Ivano-Frankivsk is located on Nezalezhnist Street, in the pedestrian zone. Nearby is the fountain on Vicheva Square. You can get there by local transport, which passes through Sichovykh Striltsiv Street, the stop is "Holovpostamt".
