Carpathians

Karpaty · Carpați · Kárpátok · Карпати

The Carpathians are Europe's second-longest mountain range: an arc of about 1,500 km from Bratislava to the Iron Gates on the Danube, across eight countries — Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Czechia, Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Austria. Here trails, peaks, huts, springs and places to stay are organised by mountain range rather than by border: the Tatras, the Bieszczady or the Maramureș Mountains are the same mountains on both sides of a frontier.
