Craft producers of the Carpathians

Many Carpathian farmers and artisans don’t run tours but make products worth a detour: cheese and bryndza, mountain honey, herbal teas, bilberry and lingonberry jams, fruit liqueurs, wool, wood and leather goods. These are small family businesses where everything is made by hand in small batches.

This section lists producers you can buy from on site, at fairs or by ordering delivery. Buying from them supports local communities and mountain villages.

Tip: most producers have no shop with fixed hours, so message or call before you go and ask where and when you can pick up your order.
