Tepli Vody Thermal Complex, Veliatyno

Veliatyno, Zakarpattia region, Ukraine

The Tepli Vody thermal complex in Veliatyno is one of Zakarpattia’s best-known pool complexes, where people come for the day to swim in warm mineral water in the open air. The water rises from a well about 1,000 metres deep and is over 36 °C, so bathing is pleasant in summer, in the cool of autumn and even in winter, when steam drifts above the pools. The complex lies in a village near Khust, among the hills of the Khust–Solotvyno valley, and combines thermal pools in Zakarpattia with children’s fun, saunas and massage.

What awaits you

  • Thermal pools with mineral water at different temperatures, for relaxing muscles and joints and lazy time in the water.
  • Freshwater pools for regular swimming and cooling off after the warm water.
  • Water slides and children’s areas, the kids’ favourite while parents relax on sunbeds.
  • Sauna, Carpathian bathhouse and salt room for a full wellness day.
  • Bath treatments, jacuzzi and massages, extra services paid separately.

The grounds are large and well kept, the buildings are designed in a Transcarpathian wooden style, and there is a souvenir shop and places to eat. The complex has its own power supply, so it stays open during power cuts.

For families with children

Tepli Vody is one of the most convenient options in Zakarpattia for a family day at the water. Full-day family packages are available (for children up to 140 cm tall), and toddlers under three go free. Children can splash in the shallow pools and ride the slides while the adults take turns warming up in the thermal water. Bring your own flip-flops, towel and swim cap, and armbands for little ones.

In summer, especially at weekends, it gets very crowded and sunbeds can run short, so arrive before opening or come on a weekday. Autumn and winter are the most comfortable time: cool mountain air surrounds the hot water and there are fewer visitors. Some services on site, such as cafés and massages, are often paid in cash, so bring some with you.
