Church of St. George, Novoselytsia
St. George's Church is located in the central part of Novoselytsia. The church is the center of the spiritual life of the town and its oldest cathedral.
The Church of St. George in Novoselytsia was built on the site of an old church that had been located here since the 15th century. The church was founded in 1858.
The Church of St. George is built in a rectangular shape. The main decoration of the church is the dome-tower, on which the main cross of the church is located. The walls of the temple are painted yellow. The windows of the cathedral deserve attention, they are decorated with small white arches.
The church is located in the central part of the town, almost near the road. Novoselytsia is a district center in the Chernivtsi region. The town is located 30 km southeast of Chernivtsi. Many bus routes run through Novoselytsia, connecting the town with the regional center and neighboring districts.
Earlier, the border between the Russian and Austrian empires used to run along the Prut River. Now it is a conditional division between Bukovyna and Northern Bessarabia.
