About

The Rysianka Hut stands on the mountain pasture of the same name in the Żywiec Beskids, at 1,290 m, a few hundred metres from its neighbour on Hala Lipowska. It is run by PTTK.

The building of 1936–1937 owes its existence to Gustaw Pustelnik, then tenant of the Lipowska hut, who began a three-storey house on the pasture without proper approval; it was saved only by the Tatra Skiers' Society, which opened its hut here on 16 May 1937. During the war it served the Germans and was abandoned in late 1944. The PTT reopened it on 25 May 1947; it was thoroughly modernised in the 1960s–1970s and extended in the 1980s.

There are 50 beds, a buffet and kitchen with full meals, a summer campsite and a GOPR post in the outbuilding. Trails arrive from Sopotnia Wielka (blue), Żabnica and Hala Boracza via Hala Lipowska (green), Złatna Huta (black) and Trzy Kopce (red). Mountain rescue: 985 or +48 601 100 300.
