About

The Hala Miziowa Hut stands on the slopes of Pilsko in the Żywiec Beskids, at 1,274 m. It is a large modern PTTK building with 90 beds, a restaurant, dining room and snack bar; GOPR rescuers are based nearby and ski lifts run in winter.

The first hut, a wooden highland-style house with a glazed veranda, was opened by the Babia Góra branch of the Polish Tatra Society on 20 July 1930. It survived the war but burned down on 19 March 1953. For half a century hikers were put up in converted outbuildings; only on 12 October 2003 did the present hut open. The remaining part of the old building burned in December 2018.

The red Main Beskid Trail and the green trail from Korbielów to Sopotnia cross the pasture. The yellow trail from Korbielów and the black one from the hut climb to Góra Pięciu Kopców (1,542 m) on Pilsko's summit dome. Mountain rescue: 985 or +48 601 100 300.
