White Horse Mountain
Mount Bila Kobyla is a peak in the Ukrainian Carpathians, which is located within the Pokutsko-Bukovyna mountain range. It is located in the Verkhovyna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the northern direction from the village of Verkhovyna and in the western direction from the village of Berezhnytsia. The height is 1477 m (according to other information - 1479 m). From here you can see a panorama of the list of ridges that would take almost half a page.
The White Mare is a rather massive mountain in the form of a short ridge stretching from northwest to southeast. The peak is covered with meadows; the slopes are quite steep (especially in the northeast), sometimes covered with forests.
To the north of Bila Kobyla Mountain is Mount Gregit, and to the northwest is Mount Gaborianska. On the southern slope, the Vilchg stream originates, which is the left tributary of the Black Cheremosh.
Therefore, it is best to climb from Verkhovyna along the Vipche stream. There are no complicated zizzags, among the unambiguous signs it is worth noting a water intake with signs saying something about "forbidden", but you should not pay attention to it and feel free to go straight until you reach the village of Vipche. After reaching the saddle of the ridge, there will be a small cemetery on the left, and a direct path to the White Mare Mountain on the right, but it is better not to go straight ahead, but to walk a little bit through the forest, a few hundred meters to the left of the road - interesting large sandstone stones. This is where the climb up starts.
The top of the White Mare is covered with chicots. Just below the White Horse is the village of Kryvorivnia Berezhnytsia, but it's not good to go up from the top, because there is still a good piece of road to Berezhnytsia, which is not finished.
To go back down, we take this "inbound" road, but on the contrary, before the cemetery we do not turn left, but go straight along the road, passing a small hill counterclockwise. Since it will be noon or after, it is better to follow this road, which passes through a beautiful spruce forest.
