Mount Sinyak, 1665 meters high, is one of the peaks of the Gorgan massif of the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in the Nadvirna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. It is part of the Carpathian National Nature Park.

The mountain got its name because of its bluish hue. The fact is that through the shimmering mountain air, the stone slopes of Synyak, abundantly covered with yellowish-grayish lichen, appear blue. Hence, in fact, the name.

Up to an altitude of about 1300 meters, the slopes of the mountain are covered with dense, centuries-old mixed forests; above this mark, alpine meadows begin. From about 1400 meters up to the very top, Sinyak is covered with continuous stone placers, a characteristic phenomenon of the Gorgan.

The mountain itself stretches from northwest to southeast. Sinyak, together with the neighboring peak Malyi Gorgan (height - 1592 m), create a small ridge Sinyak with a length of about 5-6 km.

Mount Sinyak, like many other Gorgan peaks, is a very popular destination for hiking, especially when it comes to weekend routes. Indeed, you can climb the mountain and descend it in one day.

It is worth noting that Synyak offers magnificent panoramas of the neighboring mountain ranges and their peaks - Dovbushanka (northwest), Yavirnyk (northeast), Khomyak (east), Chornohora with Hoverla and Petros (south) and Svydovets (southwest).

The nearest settlements are the villages of Tatariv and Polianytsia.
