Vyhoda is an urban-type settlement of Dolyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The population is 2225 people (2011). It is located 7 km away from the district center of Dolyna, at the foot of the Ukrainian Carpathians, in the northern part of the Vyhoda Basin, at the confluence of the Mizunka and Svicha rivers. Ivano-Frankivsk is 70 km away, and Lviv is about 120 km away. Vyhoda is located at an altitude of 450 m above sea level. The settlement covers 159 hectares. It has a railway connection with the district center - the town of Dolyna. In addition, the P21 highway from Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk to Zakarpattia passes through Vyhoda.

Neighboring settlements: Kropyvnyk village to the west, Novoselytsia village to the north, Dolyna town to the northeast, Mala Turya to the east, Patsykiv village to the southeast, Shevchenkove village to the south, and Staryi Mizun village to the southwest. The overwhelming majority of the village's residents belong to the Ukrainian ethnic group, the Boyky.

The village of Vyhoda is the youngest settlement in Dolyna district, founded in 1883. A rather detailed description of Galicia in the seventeenth and early nineteenth centuries does not mention the settlement, only the Vyhoda tavern. It was only in 1872 that a separate name Vyhoda appeared in official Austrian reference books, as a suburb of the village of Patsykiv. In 1883 it became a center of logging. In the same year, it was connected to the town of Dolyna by a railroad and received its own name - Vyhoda. At the beginning of the XX century, a network of narrow-gauge railways about 65 km long was built to serve mountain logging. The narrow-gauge railroad is partly used for its intended purpose to this day, and partly serves for tourist excursions.

In 1939, the village had a population of 1220 inhabitants (250 Ukrainians, 740 Poles, 150 Jews, and 80 Germans and other nationalities). After the war devastation, English capital began to operate in Vyhoda, the Carpathian Forestry Company, which was part of an English concern.

In 1944, a Ukrainian secondary school was founded. Its new building was constructed in 1967 and completed in 1978. The music school, founded in 1958, is the pride of the village. In 1970, the timber plant funded the construction of the House of Culture with a 400-seat auditorium, which is still the center of cultural life in Vyhoda. The "Prykarpatski Samotsvity" choir under the direction of Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Myron Andrusiv has been confirming the title of national choir for the second decade.

The most fearsome monument in the village is the Cross, erected to commemorate the abolition of serfdom in 1848. In the park there is a mass grave of Red Army soldiers who died for the liberation of the village and its surroundings from the Nazis. An obelisk was erected in the center of the village in memory of the villagers who died on the fronts of World War II.

The main industrial enterprise is the Uniplyt timber mill. A popular tourist route, the Carpathian Tram, starts in Vyhoda.

A unique museum, the Vyhoda Narrow Gauge Railway Heritage Center, was opened in the village of Vyhoda, Dolyna district. Visitors here are introduced to the history of the region, including the timber processing tartak, and learn about the life of ethnic Boikos, their culture and traditions. An interactive exhibition demonstrates the natural features of the Carpathian region and the ecosystem of the mountains. The interpretive center was opened in April 2016 and is located in the oldest building, the former estate of Leopold Popper von Podhragi.
