The museum was established in 1996 in honor of the Ukrainian children's poet Mariya Pidhiryanka (Maria Omelianivna Lenert-Dombrovska, 1881-1963), who was born in the village of Bili Oslavy, Nadvirna district, on 29.03.1881.

Total number of museum funds: 850 exhibits, including 600 exhibits in the exhibitions, some of which are personal belongings of the poetess and editions of her works. The museum is housed in three large rooms of the priest's residence near the Mother Church, a wooden architectural monument of national importance built in 1746. The museum premises are being expanded with a second floor.

The museum houses the lifetime works of the writer Mariia Pidhirianka and her memorabilia. The museum is located in a historic building (1900). It is the first brick house in the village and was built of bricks that were once fired in Bili Oslavy. There are 8 books on the creative heritage of the famous countrywoman. From the very beginning of the Museum's creation, it has been headed by local historian Vasyl Levytskyi, winner of the Mariya Pidhirianka Regional Educational Award.

The exhibits are housed in three large rooms of the priest's former residence. In particular, the museum houses personal belongings and publications of the poetess herself. Over time, it is planned to expand the premises by creating a second floor.

The Maria Pidhiryanka Museum is located on the street of the same name at number 279a in the village of Bili Oslavy. The village is located 60 km from the regional city. The district center of Nadvirna is 20 km away. There are regular buses to the village, it can be reached from Kolomyia.
