Pysanyi Kamenis jest interesującym historycznym i geologicznym pomnikiem przyrody o lokalnym znaczeniu w Ukrainie. Znajduje się w rejonie werchowyńskim obwodu iwanofrankowskiego, na północ od wsi Werchnij Jasieniew i kilka kilometrów na południowy wschód od wsi Bukowiec(założonej w 1974 roku ) i Przełęczy Bukowieckiej (835 metrów wysokości). The large lake Bukivets is located on the border of Kosiv and Verkhovyna districts. There is a large lake in the center of the village of Bukivets, not far from the school.
