Kryvopillia Pass is one of the most difficult passes in the Ukrainian Carpathians. It is located within the Verkhovyna-Putyla lowlands (in its northwestern part), on the northwestern outskirts of the village of Kryvopillia, Verkhovyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, from which the pass got its name.

The height of the pass is 970 m above sea level (according to other sources - 1013 m). It is located on the border of the Prut and Black Cheremosh rivers. The pass is crossed by the paved road Vorokhta - Verkhovyna P24. The slopes of the pass are relatively gentle and easily accessible.

Kryvopillia is a small Hutsul village located 16 km from the district center and 18 km from the Vorokhta railway station, in the valley of the Black Cheremosh River. Until 1958 it was called Kryvopole. In 1958 it was renamed to Kryvopillia. The village is surrounded by forested mountains.

In recent years, the tourist infrastructure in the village has been actively developing, with many estates and cottages appearing. A popular tourist route to the Kostrych ridge begins from the pass.
