Stara Guta is an urban-type settlement in Ivano-Frankivsk district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. It is located in a picturesque mountainous landscape that offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities. In the area of the village there are various tourist routes for hiking and cycling, ski resorts and other recreational facilities.
Peaks:
- Mount Vysoka (1803.6 m) is one of the peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in the Gorgan mountain range. It is found in Ivano-Frankivsk region on the border of Bohorodchany and Rozhnyativ districts, in the southeast direction from the village of Osmoloda.
- Mount Serednya is a 1639-meter peak of the Ukrainian Carpathians, which is located within the Gorgan mountain range. The mountain is located southeast of the village of Osmoloda and west of the village of Stara Huta on the border of two districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region - Bohorodchany and Rozhnyativ.
- Mount Igrovets is located on the Igrovyshche ridge and is the third highest peak (after Velyka and Mala Syvul) of the Horhanskyi mountain range at 1804.3 meters. It is here, to the meadows near Igrovets, that the local population from the village of Osmoloda goes to pick blueberries.
- Chortka Ridge and Mountain - Stretches from northwest to southeast, from the village of Zelena to the village of Stara Huta. It lies on the interfluve of the Bystrytsia Nadvirna and Bystrytsia Solotvynska rivers. Its length is about 11.5 km. Height up to 1240 m (Gorgan mountain).
In the village of Stara Huta there are several shops, cafes and restaurants where you can taste local food and drinks. There is also a post office, a pharmacy and several bank branches.In Stara Huta, you can also visit cultural and historical sites such as the Church of St. Paraskeva and the Plast Camp - Museum "Sokol" For outdoor enthusiasts, there are various hiking and cycling routes in the area of the village, including routes to mountain tops, waterfalls and other natural beauties.
Places of interest:
- The SokilPlast Camp-Museum is the oldest and most famous Plast home, which was dedicated in 1926. The Sokil Plast Camp-Museum is located on the left bank of the Limnytsia River near the village of Hrynkiv, Rozhniativ district, Ivano-Frankivsk region (70 km from the regional center). The mountain at the foot of which Sokil is located is called Siglis ("sharp forest").
- The state organization "Residence Synihora " is the residence of the President of Ukraine in the Carpathian massif of Gorgany (near the village of Huta, Bohorodchany district, Ivano-Frankivsk region) on the territory of the national nature park "Synihora". It was organized on the basis of an old departmental sanatorium in 2001.
- Angelivska Domnytsia - The blast furnace in the Angeliv tract in the Rozhniativ district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, between the villages of Lazy and Hrynkiv, is the only monument of ancient culture in Ukraine made in the nineteenth century that has been preserved in a state suitable for restoration.
