Uhryniv is a village in the Tysmenytsia district of Ivano-Frankivsk region and is adjacent to the regional center of Ivano-Frankivsk. The village of Uhryniv was founded in the time of Danylo Halytskyi, in the XIII century. Today its population is about 3200 people. It is the center of the village council. Modern Uhryniv united two villages: Horishnii Uhryniv and Dolishnii Uhryniv. In the summer of 1950, 27 Uhryniv families were deported to Siberia.
The distance from the new giant church to the old church is 150 meters at most, but you still won't see it. Once it served Roman Catholics, then it stood empty, then it was converted into a church, then a new one was built nearby, and the church receded into the background, hiding behind the trees. Nearby, but still aside, is another pensioner, the wooden bell tower of the long-vanished wooden St. Michael's Church. You would not immediately guess that the church and the cemetery are located in an old cemetery.
From the fields behind Uhryniv, you can see magnificent panoramas of Ivano-Frankivsk: the tower of the town hall, the massive cathedral, and the two bell towers of the Armenian church. Although you can mostly see skyscrapers-Frankivsk is experiencing an incredible construction boom, and I don't know if this is good news or not.
