Room-museum of Lidia Lypkivska (Lipkovska)
The museum was opened in 2007 and is located in the library of the village of Babyn. The museum has 303 exhibits, 30 of which are original.
The museum's exposition highlights the life and career of the famous opera singer Lydia Lypkivska. Visitors will be interested to see the original church book with a record of the future singer's birth, her certificate, and personal photographs. It will also be interesting to see newspaper articles, books, and reference books with information about the singer.
Lidia Lypkivska (1884-1958) was called the Queen of Opera of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, her partners on stage were Caruso, Bonci, Ruffo, Smirnov, Baklanov, and Chaliapin. Lydia was a close relative of the famous Ukrainian actress Mariia Zankovetska; their family included the famous violin virtuoso, a favorite of Alexander II, Nebozhevskyi, as well as the famous opera singer, soloist of the Imperial Choir, Erica.
L. Lypkivska was born in the village of Babyn , Kelmenets district, to a teacher's family. She received her education in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi, at the Mariinsky Women's Gymnasium. Together with other students, she sang in the church choir and even had her own solo parts, attracting attention with her enchanting voice that soared under the dome of the cathedral. Residents of Kamianets called the girl a singing "bird". After successfully completing her studies at the gymnasium, Lida, as a particularly gifted girl, entered the St. Petersburg Conservatory in 1903 for free education. After graduating in 1906, she became a soloist at the Mariinsky Theater. Later she toured in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Rome, Bucharest, Monte Carlo, and Milan. Lidia Lipkivska remained living abroad. She ended her career with traditional teaching.

By train to Chernivtsi, then by bus to Kelmentsi. From Kelmentsi by bus to Babyn village. By car - by highway P-63 to the village of Kelmentsi. The museum is located in the library, in the center of the village.
