Laznyi is a waterfall in the Ukrainian Carpathians (in the Skole Beskydy massif), a hydrological natural monument of local importance. It is located in the south of Drohobych district, Lviv region, a few kilometers southeast of the village of Dovhe. The waterfall is located within the Skole Beskydy National Nature Park .

The Laznyi Waterfall is one of the four significant waterfalls in the Skole Beskydy, within the Lviv region, located farthest to the west, in the Drohobych district. This waterfall is the highest in the region, with a height of 12 meters and a width of about 2 meters. The water falls in several ledges from an almost vertical layered rock into a shallow bowl several meters in diameter. At the outlet of the bowl there is another small waterfall less than 1 meter high. The stream at the foot of the waterfall is surrounded by steep slopes. Below this natural monument there is a fairly large space, so photography is not difficult. The slopes around are overgrown with forest, and the stream flows to the north, so there is always deep shade. So to take a good photo, you should bring a tripod.

The waterfall is located on a small stream of the same name, Laznyi, which flows into the Stryi River 1 km east of the outer houses of Dovhe village, 800 meters upstream from the mouth. To get to the waterfall, you need to find a forest road that branches off from the main road along the bank of the Stryi River a few meters west of the intersection with the stream. The forest road also soon crosses the Laznyi Stream, but there is no need to cross to the other side. Without crossing the stream, we find a path that leads up the western (geographically left) bank of the stream. In a few meters, the trail comes to a small clearing, then dives back into the forest and soon reaches a deep ravine, directly to the top of the waterfall. To get down to the bottom, you need to overcome a very steep and rather dangerous descent in wet weather. Attention: There is no trail on the eastern (right) bank of the creek, do not go there. The whole way from the main road to the waterfall will take no more than 20-30 minutes.

The Laznyi waterfall is easily accessible as part of a hiking trail or a bicycle trail along the banks of the Stryi River. The trailhead can be reached by car from the village of Dovhe. However, the road from the end of the village of Sopit is about 3.5 km long and is only suitable for off-road vehicles. In addition, after rains, deep calabans are formed here, so this road cannot be recommended for vehicles. However, while driving along this road, you can also see the powerful concrete structures of the unfinished dam on the Stryi River, which was built in the 80s of the XX century.

So, don't limit yourself to the well-known Kamianka and Gurkalo waterfalls, visit this place as well.

It takes more than 2 hours (133 km) to get from Lviv to the nearest village, Dovhe, by car. And after the final stop, tourists should be prepared for a real mountain risk. The hike to Lazne Waterfall will start from the village of Dovhe. The first landmark for tourists will be the statue of the Mother of God. From there, you need to keep walking forward and not deviate from the path. At the end of the village, you will see a field with the Stryi River and the unfinished hydroelectric power plant behind it. From there you need to walk straight ahead to the first crossroads. When you get there, turn left (the landmark is a spruce tree with a label). The Laznyi Stream will show you the way to the destination, and the waterfall itself is located upstream. The hiking road to the mountain miracle is not the best, so it is not recommended to use it in rainy weather.

There are several hotels within a radius of 6-7 kilometers from the waterfall for overnight stays. The nature of the Skole Beskydy National Nature Park is really impressive, so tourists will definitely find other natural wonders. In mountain estates, prices for two nights in a double room start from 820 to 4000 hryvnias.
