Tovarnitsa is a village in Ukraine, in the
Chernivtsi region, Putyla district. Not far from the village is the protected Tovarnytsia tract and the little-known Siruchok waterfall (horsetail type; 2.5 m). Tovarnitsa is a protected tract (15 hectares) in Ukraine. It is located within the
Putyla district of Chernivtsi region, southeast of the village of Tovarnytsia.
The status was granted in order to preserve the picturesque natural complex within the Pokutsko-Bukovyna Carpathians. Native spruce-fir and beech plantations are growing. The grass cover includes the Carpathian buttercup (subject to regional protection in the Chernivtsi region) and the common nesting bird (listed in the Red Book of Ukraine). The fauna includes the great crested newt, Carpathian newt, Alpine newt, and long-tailed owl, species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
