Tserkivna is a village in the Dolyna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. Local residents and the media use the name Tserkivna, as well as its derivatives: "Tserkivnianskyi", "Tserkivnianska". According to the 2001 census, the population of the village is 1029 people.

In the village, the Tserkivianskyi and Sykhlevatyi streams flow into the Luzhanka river.
On December 11, 1945, the Khorty Hundred, which was stationed in the village, was overtaken by NKVD troops. The hundred's commander, "Bey" (Kazymyr Yavorsky), decided to fight and successfully prepared a trap for the enemies who were advancing across the open field. The rebels took up favorable positions in the Tsapove tract, which consists of large stone blocks.
"The NKVEDists were unexpectedly met with heavy fire and suffered significant losses. The called reserves managed to surround the hundred, but after dark, the soldiers managed to break out of the encirclement. The enemy's losses, according to the rebels, amounted to 221 killed, including a major and two captains. 18 UPA soldiers were also killed in this battle.

Tsapovi rocks are now often visited by Ukrainian climbers. The previously unknown rocky area impressed climbers not only with the size and richness of the relief, but also with the incredible beauty of the wild forest.
The annual Carpathian Rock Climbing Championship usually takes place on the Dovbush cliffs near the village of Bubnyshche. This massif has long been a mecca for Ukrainian (and other) climbers. In addition to it, in recent years, athletes have begun to explore the rocks near the village of Yamelnytsia in the Skole district of Lviv region. In general, there are a lot of stone giants scattered in the foothills of the Carpathians - some large stones, or even rocky walls several meters high - a kind of natural fortress wall. But most of them are single rocks. There are not many large complexes. Therefore, the Tsapovi Rocks, which are quite large in area and have many different stones, became one of the most unexpected discoveries.
It is advisable to go here by car, as the bus rarely runs on weekdays and there is no bus at all on weekends. Behind the last house there is a barrier, then another 20 minutes on foot along a wide path. Here are the first stones: there are smaller ones, 2-3 meters high, and there are real ten-meter giants. A long rock wall stretches like a natural wall in the forest, as if continued upward by trees growing right on top of the rocks. Everything is light and cozy. The purity of nature is striking. The primeval forest and virgin rocks, on which no one has yet signed. The silence of the beech forest is broken only by the chirping of birds and the excited shouts of athletes and fans who gather in bunches near the rocks, trying to take turns overcoming the "stone track".
