It's a very atmospheric and cool place, and it's great that Ukraine has such historical places that are not abandoned and are tidy. You have to walk or drive through the woods, and the museum staff will meet you. You can crawl in real hiding places. The insurgents' underground quarters are very well equipped. It is advisable to book a tour. There are gazebos and tables. You can take a break and enjoy the fresh air. It was at this place that the battle between the UPA and the NKVD took place. The UPA group consisted of three people: Commander Mykhailo Hnativ, Stepan Yankevych, and Volodymyr Kulyk. They held the line and burned documents. The NKVD saw that they would not surrender alive and threw grenades at them. Mykhailo died, and the other wounded were taken to the prison on Lontskoho Street. Before the UPA, this hiding place was used by fighters of the Polish-Ukrainian war of 1918-1919.

The hiding place was found in the 1970s by foresters, but the soldiers dismantled everything. On January 1, 2017, the museum burned down, and the Kryivka burned down completely. 2019 - the museum was restored and continues to operate.
Today, Kryivka has been rebuilt according to the description of Volodymyr Kulyk, who once took part in the 1955 battle. There are overgrown defense lines around the Kryivka, and inside there are exhibits from the Polish-Ukrainian and World War I periods. The hiding place consists of two rooms with a 30-meter-long tunnel between them. Today, typewriters, a stove, and household items belonging to the insurgents are stored there. The new room is the Kryivka room, where orders and photos of the insurgents are displayed. The movie "The Last Battle in Basivka", "The Story of One Kryivka", and films about Vasyl Cook and Dmytro Vitovskyi were filmed at the Kryivka. The films contain an interesting story about the attitude of the UPA members to smoking and alcohol.
