Staying in a hut

  • A hut is not a hotel: its condition changes every year, so carry a tent and sleeping bag even if you plan to sleep under a roof.
  • In summer shepherds live on the meadows — ask for permission instead of taking over their home.
  • Use the stove carefully, never leave fire unattended and check that the chimney draws.
  • Leave firewood, a clean floor and a closed door — the way you would like to find it.
