Chynadiyovo (Chynadiyevo) is an urban-type settlement located 12 km east of the district center, Mukachevo, in the valley of the Latorytsia River. The area is 6251.4 hectares. The population is 7.2 thousand people. The regional center, Uzhhorod, is 48 km away. The Uzhhorod-Lviv railway with two railway stations and one platform, as well as the Kyiv-Uzhhorod highway and the Svaliava-Mukacheve regional road pass through Chynadiyovo.

Finds of the Neolithic period (5th millennium BC), Bronze Age (2nd millennium BC) and ancient Rus (10th-11th centuries), as well as Roman coins (2nd-3rd centuries AD) and Slavic tableware (8th-10th centuries AD) have been discovered near the village.

The first mention of Chynadiyovo as a settlement of St. Miklos dates back to 1214. The Hungarian name "St. Miklos" comes from the feudal estate of St. Nicholas built here and was assigned to it until 1944. The same name was used in the charter of the Hungarian King Stephen V in 1264, by which he granted the village to Magister Adlar, the king's commissioner for Galician affairs.

In 1956, Chynadiyovo was granted the status of an urban-type settlement.

Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the local industry has been characterized by the development of forestry and woodworking enterprises. As early as 1902, the first workshops for match production were founded, and in the postwar period, the production of prostheses and heel pads in the shoe industry began. During the Soviet era, furniture was exported to the entire USSR. In 1992, a joint Ukrainian-Slovak enterprise was established on the basis of the old factory, which began deep processing of wood and, at the same time, the production of children's wooden toys.

The local art school has been operating for 30 years. It has departments of choreography, fine arts, folk instruments, piano, theory, and orchestra. Among schools of this kind in Zakarpattia, the Chynadiyevo School of Arts is considered one of the best.
